Abstract
Remembering the process of making the documentary film Two Doors, which deals with the Yongsan Tragedy, and evoking how the victims’ families have had to continue enduring political deaths, and our attitude toward it, the film director and social activist Kim Ilran questions the meaning of the past decade. Pointing to the fact that the state did not honor the human dignity of the residents they tried to violently evict nor that of the police whom they used only as tools of eviction, Kim draws our attention to contemporary reality, where the official in charge of this brutal incident still remains unrepentant a decade later and similar deaths continue to occur.
