서울대 사회학과를 졸업하고 미국 일리노이대학 박사과정에 있다. 국제정치경제, 발전 및 역사사회학을 전공하고 있다. 주요 논문으로 「독일과 스웨덴의 복지국가 비교연구」와 “Cyber-Korea, A Brave New Economy?” 등이 있다.

After studying sociology (BA) at Seoul National University, Jang Jin-Ho currently studies international political economy, development, and historical sociology in the doctoral program at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. His major works include “A Comparative Study of the Welfare State in Germany and Sweden” and “Cyber-Korea, A Brave New Economy?”
