Abstract
Yi Heon-seok’s article deals with Fukushima water pollution, an issue that has emerged recently as directly concerning Koreans, with relevant news continuing to appear. While informing us about the exact situation in Fukushima, Yi discusses the chaotic state of the polluted water treatment, which is so serious as to be called a “battle,” and criticizes Japanese government’s behavior around the recent controversy over polluted water discharge. At the same time, pointing out that this is a matter that might not be manageable by a single country, this article argues for an East Asian transnational collaboration to resolve the Fukushima crisis, and reminds us that Fukushima is no longer none of our business.
