Abstract
Discussing poor labor condition of customer-service workers in call centers, still quite invisible despite temporary attention after a recent mass infection case, medical anthropologist Kim Gwan-uk depicts vivid stories of people whose human and health rights are being violated. Kim’s argument is convincing: that viruses can threaten us any time across the barrier line, unless we provide healthier environments for the actual places of living.
