서울대학교 동양화과를 졸업했다. 그림책으로 『줄줄이 꿴 호랑이ꡕ를 냈고 『까치와 호랑이와 토끼』 『달님은 알지요』 『백구』 들에 그림을 그렸다. 그림책 『석수장이 아들』을 작업하면서 자연 안에서 소박한 생활미를 추구하던 옛 어른들의 건강한 심성을 닮고자 했다.
달・리 크리에이티브 그림책 기획 디자인 글쓰기를 하는 사람들의 모임이다. 우리 자연, 우리 생활, 우리 전통 속에 담겨 있는 아름다움을 그림책으로 이어가려 한다. ‘우리시그림책’은 달・리가 오랫동안 준비해 내놓은 첫 기획물이다. (전화 02-394-3608)

Kwon Moon Hee studied Asian painting (BFA) at Seoul National University. She has authored and illustrated picture book The Skewered Tiger and drawn for others including The Magpie and the Tiger and the Hare, The Moon Knows, and Baekgu the White Dog. In working on The Stonemason’s Son, she strove to portray the healthy sentiments of Koreans of yore, who pursued simple and natural beauty in everyday life.
