Born in 1956 in Chungmu, South Gyeongsang Province, Kim Ki-jung studied international relations at Yonsei University (BA) and the University of Connecticut (MA and Ph D). Formerly a lecturer at Ewha Womans University, he currently serves at his alma mater. He has penned poetry collection Dreaming Peace as well as academic papers “Teaching International Studies from a Regional Perspective” and “The Road to Colonization: Korea under Imperialism, 1897-1910”; co-authored A Theory of Global Foreign Policy and Northeast Asian Regional Security Order and Strategic Calculus on the Taiwan Straits; and translated Explaining Foreign Policy.
