1968년 부산에서 태어나 각각 부산대학교 생물학과와 분자생물학과를 졸업했다. 2002년『과학자와 놀자!』로 ‘좋은 어린이책’ 원고 공모 기획 부문 대상을 받았고『박테리아 할머니 물고기 할아버지』『고래는 왜 바다로 갔을까』『꼬물꼬물 세균대왕 미생물이 지구를 지켜요』『쉿! 바다의 비밀을 말해 줄게』등 여러 책을 함께 썼다.

Both born in 1968, Kim Sung-hwa and Kwon Soo-jin studied biology (BS) and molecular biology (BS), respectively, at Pusan National University. Under the pen name “Science Kids,” they have co-authored works that endeavor to bring science closer to children including Kids, Do You Really Want to Be Scientists? and The Bellybutton of Science.
