1963년 충남 연기에서 태어났다. 경희대에서 한국화를 공부했다. 『만년 샤쓰』 『외딴 마을 외딴 집에』 『아름다운 수탉』들에 그림을 그렸다. 따뜻한 필치와 뛰어난 데생을 통해 그림에 한국화와 우리 조상들의 정신을 담았다.

Born in 1963 in Yeon’gi, South Chungcheong Province, Kim Se-hyun studied Korean painting (BFA) at Kyung Hee University. The illustrator of children’s books including The Beautiful Rooster (published by Changbi), The Permanent Shirt, and In a Lone House in a Lone Village, he is noted for his heartwarming strokes and skillful sketches, which make the spirit of traditional Korean painting and culture come alive even today.
