1965년 부산에서 태어나 부산대에서 철학을 공부했다. 1992년 『문학사상』에 소설을 발표하면서 작가가 되었다. 낯설고 새로운 것에 대한 호기심 때문에 여행하거나 이사 다니기를 좋아한다. 요즘은 또 다른 여행을 꿈꾸면서 그림책 만드는 재미에 푹 빠져 있다.

Born in 1965 in Busan, Lee Mi-ji studied philosophy (BA) at Pusan National University. She made her literary debut with the publication of her work in the journal Munhak Sasang (Literature & Thought) in 1992. Fond of traveling and moving because of her thirst for the novel and the unfamiliar, she is currently captivated by the joy of creating books for young readers.
