창작과비평

1943년 경북 성주에서 태어났다. 서울대학교 문리대 영문학과와 같은 학교 대학원 국문학과를 졸업하고 「다산문학연구」로 문학박사학위를 받았다. 한국한문학회 회장을 지냈고, 성균관대학교 한문학과 교수로 정년을 맞았다. 현재 성균관대학교 명예교수, 퇴계학연구원 원장이자 다산연구소 이사로 활동하고 있다. 다산 정약용의 학문과 문학 세계를 알리는 데 오랫동안 힘써왔고, 우리 한문학을 유려하게 번역하는 것으로 정평이 나 있다. 저서로 『다산시 연구』 『한시 미학과 역사적 진실』 『주먹바람 돈바람』 『한국 한문학의 사상적 지평』『몸은 곤궁하나 시는 썩지 않네』 『한국한시작가열전』, 역서로 『다산시선』 『다산의 한평생: 사암선생연보』 『역주 목민심서』(공역) 등이 있다.

Born in 1943 in Seongju, North Gyeongsang Province, Song Jae So studied English literature (BA) and Korean literature (MA and Ph D) at Seoul National University. Currently a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, he has authored A Study of Dasan’s Poetry (published by Changbi), The Aesthetics of Sino-Korean Poetry and the Historical Truth (published by Changbi), The Ideological Horizons of Sino-Korean Literature, and A Reexamination of the Sino-Korean Literature of the Latter Half of the Joseon Dynasty (co-authorship; published by Changbi) and translated and annotated A Collection of Dasan’s Poetry.
